Welcome to my humble blog. I use this space as a way to formulate the thoughts I have about this crazy world we created and inhabit. I tend to ruminate a lot about these things and having a blog helps me create mental space as well as practice my writing and communication skills. The things I write about here will be political because life is political. The theme my posts will be exploring is this:

The 21st-century world we live in has a profound impact on who we are, how we treat ourselves, each other, and the world around us, and it is critical to make ourselves aware of how deep that relationship is in order to improve as humans.

Here are some of the ideas that interest me in relation to the theme:

Humans are adapted for very specific conditions, and the modern world in many ways does not meet those conditions.
As humans change the world, the world we create changes us in both predictable and unexpected ways.
The individualistic worldview that pervades America is fundamentally harmful to human well-being.
Capitalism is an aberration and perversion of a healthy society and strips humans of their humanity.
